Story

I'm a creative leader with 15+ years experience leading and building in-house teams and designing award winning work.

As a son of an immigrant Filipino doctor, my father taught me to work hard, respect others and love what you do. I have a wide range of creative knowledge with a deep expertise in digital. My career journey includes UX design, broadcast/motion, advertising, retail store design, packaging, branding and photography art direction. I led digital and e-com creative at Estée Lauder Companies as Director of Global Digital Design for 10 years, winning 4 Clios along the way.

With the desire to be more than a tradional "creative" so that I could drive teams to deliver next generation experiences at the intersection of design, business and tech, I earned a masters from USC Iovine and Young Academy: Dr. Dre's and Jimmy Iovine's graduate program for disruptors and innovators.

Philosophy

Joy, Curiosity, Competition, Mindfulness.

Four words drive everything I do:  Joy: Teams create their best work in a positive environment with joy and few laughs along the way. Curiosity: Questioning conventions with curiosity is at the core of creativity. Competition: A competitive mindset is necessary to win in business and drive innovation. Mindfulness: I believe that mindfulness enables teams to be present, withstand stress and create in the zone.

Maximize a team's creative potential by managing people, strategies, and the big picture.

With a high EQ and mindful approach, I'm able to juggle anything from managing a timeline, coaching a creative-blocked designer, crafting a strategy deck with the marketing team, designing a landing page, or selling a far out creative idea to a group of c-suite executives. I embrace the multiple aspects and hats of a creative leadership role.
